I believe people need to hear your message and eventually many will listen to you I would just recommend you get more comfortable with your camera and eliminate the uh's and umms .
Aw thanks for the positive words fren. I'm not giving up. Yes definitely was nervous in front of camera. That's why my first video I didnt focus on any small appearance details. Just had to get one out. Now I'm feeling awesome about it. Just wanna make the best possible thing I can.
Will add the uh umms to the list. Actually didn't notice this one till u just said it. Thanks fren. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and loving words. God bless u
No problem my brother in Christ, you got this and I do admire your courage for starting this venture and putting yourself out there open to criticism and all .I actually think you are a good speaker just a bit nervous yes but you already know you are going to get better as you go I'll be looking for your next video
Thanks for the loving words. Slowly but surely I will get more comfortable and grow more and more. Thanks for the future support. God bless u. I am here if you ever need prayer or a fren to vent to
Appreciate all of your efforts and your message. You've received some excellent suggestions here already. Have no doubt you will be much more comfortable with your next podcast. Keep up the good work
Aw thanks for your kind words sis. All glory to God. I agree I got some awesome suggestions here. I look forward to re shooting this episode with these in mind. Yes definitely already more comfortable. I'm super excited about this. God bless u sis. Thanks for being a positive voice for me
Some public speaking tips, if you are open to them-
Imagine you are taking to someone live, witnessing to awakening people in front of you. Have someone there IRL if it helps. This is to get your expression looser and more natural. When you warm up to your topic, and forget the camera, we suddenly see the real you.
This one will be harder- Do something else with your hands, so you don't accidentally muffle yourself- your words are too important to be lost. Prayer beads, hand exercise squishy, anything quiet and off camera can work. Leaning on our hands or arms gets us scrunching up gradually forward, tensing up and cutting off our air, and on our jaws tightens them and muzzles our mouths. Sitting back a little against the chair, relaxed but shoulder back, can help you open up your lungs and project, as well as look and feel fortified and confident.
These are all habit-changers and do take practice. Anyone can do it, what's important is that you have the Message and it needs to get out there. Thank you sincerely for being brave enough to step up and put yourself out there, brother, may Christ be at your shoulder.
Wow thank you for these. Yes I'm always down for advice to improve. I wrote these down in my podcast notebook and will practice and work them in.
Thanks for your kind motivating words.may Christ be with u as well. God bless much love
Get proper equipment like mic, stand, put camera at eye level
Don't touch your face when you're talking, rest your face on your hand... You look bored so your audience will be bored and unengaged
Smile
Close blinds
Put a cross in background
Better lighting
This is the input I have received so far. Please share your thoughts on how I can improve. This was just a practice run to get gitters out and get the ball rolling on this idea
Aww I'm so sorry for that. Thank you for bringing it to my attention. This will be the last and only time I do that. Writing it down in my notebook so I have the reminder to check the volume.
Thank you so much for these kind loving words. I'm so excited to build this up. Plus it's awesome that I get to have so many awesome people here on as guests
me = my 1st. experiences in Public speaking were in communist Grade-school, where delivery is expected to be pretty good from the start. Such expectation, coupled with my relationship with Jesus made me extroverted such that when I arrived in US..at 13. I enjoyed Public-speaking, & was only nervous until my English-vocabulary was enuf to communicate my Intent. In church I loved... in front of 20 to 100+ people chatting with Jesus, bearing my Testimony, teaching lessons, & because of my natural confidence, I was asked to Lead the choir as a teen (& I learned how to also do this pretty quick :))
in my Public-speaking I made No distinction... between men & ladies, I regarded them the same: both as God's children. - Yet I Notice you repeatedly Favor men, over ladies - most likely because most posters here are guys. -
Other than that 1 difference, like I said I repeat "You have a Testimony of Jesus & the world needs to hear it & people will... God Bless your efforts for His glory..." :)
What makes you say this because
I disagree. And have quite a few woman on my team that will disagree as well. I truly dont care about which sex they are. I seek out those passionate about serving Christ.
RE "I seek out those passionate about serving Christ." - Tho true to an extent, however, -
the moment... Anybody courageously offers & States a different opinion, from what you Insist on is (your) "reality" , you call them a "meanie" repeatedly, Argue with them, Refuse to seek Common ground, & then Upvote a mod employing dysfunctional/punitive Pavlov operant Conditioning to Silence any dissenting voices. Neither of those 2 means are what God/Jesus said to do.
I disagree with your assessment. Name one 0ther person you feel I do this to. Besides yourself. You cant. This shows me this is a personal issue within you. Its ironic because the words u attached to me are what u often do to others, including me. I have had multiple people tell me I handle opposing views well and am very patient and loving in approach.
When others Agree with you to a greater or less extent, - you act patient/loving.
However, you do not know How to share a conversation with a Civil/non-violent polarity Responder. Either you succeed in getting them to Change... to agree with you, Or you call them a "meanie" which gets you the sympathy you want & upon getting your Will satisfied, you then Upvote said mod. -- Again, both are dysfunctional tactics. And you will continue in that, so long as your behavior is rewarded.
I would say I liked that you provided your background and then went deeper into what you wanted to discuss for the first episode. What you could do in the future podcasts is discuss the topics you will cover for a particular podcast at the start and divide up the podcast into segments.
I like the intro to a prayer and verse of the day. I also like the closing prayer and message.
And you have the right idea to have a structured plan for each podcast.
But if you want to discuss new topics in mind just outline for the listener at the start and go into these topics as you want. Good luck and keep at it!

Old person here....
I had a hard time hearing you. With my hearing loss I can usually adjust volume up enough but not with your video.
So..., I just watched you for a while to get a feel for you. It was a good spiritual feeling. Keep it up.
I'm excited to see you take this to the next level.

You have a Testimony of Jesus & the world needs to hear it & people will... God Bless your efforts for His glory...
You had great Suggestions, & you pay Attention to & Listen... to guys who you want to listen to.

What do u mean. How so

And neither Please nor Praise God.
Very good introductory podcast.

Thanks fren. So I'm not sure I'm following what your saying. When I brainstormed for the idea I did make an outline of sorts
intro/opening Prayer
promo stuff/ verse of day
testimony
random(fill it based of which guest is on)
final news/ closing prayer/ hopeful message to end it
Is this kinda what you mean. Definitely need to put more focus on it thanks for bringing it up
