No, but I believe it. RN here. I hope I never work in a hospital again.
I was not sure why the police were there, though. I have heard of a lot of things but I've never heard of a patient not being able to leave AMA. Except on psych.
I guess they assume if you refused the vax you must be psycho? I know a couple hard core pro vax nurses who think like this. The one developed breast lump shortly after getting jabbed and was advised to watch it. Then it quickly doubled in size after getting boosted. She can't connect the dots. Her husband had prostate cancer that was very slow growing. Same thing, got shots and boosted and his PSA level started going up fast. Still can't fathom what is going on. But if you refused to get vaxxed they know you're crazy?
okay, but a psych hold is very specific and there has to be an order and a judge gets involved, it's a specific legal process and then the pt doesn't have the right to leave AMA. It is used when the pt is a danger to himself or others. So i don't think she was on a hold. So I'm still not sure why the police were there.
The police were there to support the hospital, and rules/regulations be damned. The left has no regard for the rule of law and they abuse/use it to their advantage and others' harm on a daily basis.
A family member went into the hospital in SoCal and got put on the standard COVID death-track; on a respirator and kept unconscious. His daughter was told at one point that "he isn't going to make it".
The doctor was less of a dick than some, however, and I was able to get him to add some higher-dose vitamins C and D and some NAC into the meds they were pumping into him (although he refused to add a number of other things that are well-supported). The family member survived and is doing well now a year later.
One thing I know FOR A FACT. Hospitals now tag all patients as DNR. Its very important when on admission they give you a form to sign. They say this is just you giving us permission to treat you. You'd better read it before you sign. DNR order will be on that form. Cross off what you dont agree or consent to. Because they give you the form when youre in the ER, at your signature add: Signed under duress and without legal representation and/or advice.
Same thing on discharge because whats on that form STAYS on your record forever. Even stupid errors like"
1- I'm handicapped yet they listed me with normal activities of daily living. Might be nothing to some but it could cancel ADA allowances that keep me independent.
2- Even that my kids (next of kin) have different last name and both are single they listed me as never married. No one ever asked, I've been married twice. So I told the nurse so with 2 kids youre assuming I'm a whore?
3-Perfect eyesight. Again no one ever asked. I use bifocals. Nurse said well, youre not wearing glasses. I asked her if she ever saw me read a book or drive a car.
4-DNR was listed there too. She said its because they dont have a copy of my living will. I told her my children and my lawyer have it. She said but we dont, if you code we'd have to call for permission to revive you? I told her first, you have it ass backward. BY LAW you HAVE TO keep me alive UNTIL you are told otherwise. Second, with all the errors on your documents I don't trust you to have a copy of it.
5-Once at 3 AM I woke up gasping to breathe so I pressed the call button. A nurse came in (by now I'm 1/2 way to the floor to collapse). She stood over me and yelled youre just hyperventilating, stop it. I've been thru that before so I told her call a doctor. She said there wont be one in until 9 AM. I called her a liar and said get the doctor on call. He immediately had her get Albuterol and it helped. Next AM a new lung doc came in and said I could be dead if I didnt insist she call. Explained to me its not hyperventilating but fluid around my heart and lungs and put me on Lasix.
I asked that my priest be notified. No one ever did. I was denied food for 2 days. At first I thought I was NPO for a test (but thats usually 24 hours at most). I kept asking and was always told we're checking on it. Turns out since doctor didnt specify the kind of diet I was to be on, I got NO food at all. No one bothered to check. It was too much of an effort to call.
Right before covid I was admitted to the hospital 4 times within 2 months for heart and circulatory problems. I went through the above all 4 times. They never correct/addend the reports. I notified all the doctors and hospital admin and nothing happened. I will not sign anything with errors about my health on it.
I AM SO SORRY FOR THE RANT BUT IF I COULD ENLIGHTEN ONE PERSON AS TO WHAT REALLY HAPPENS AND HOW TO PREVENT IT, I FEEL JUSTIFIED.

Yes, i agree, but to support the hospital in what? Keeping a patient against her will? That's jail, not a hospital.

Crimes against humanity.
This story is an example of why I do not go to doctors unless I absolutely have to. I do not trust them.
Does anyone else find the doctor's name a little...bizarre? Dr. Quach???

Mighty quack? Totally normal
Min T Quach? hmmmm
I caught that too
Thanks for posting this. I've known about the situation, but this woman's story is horrific.

Shameful.
