Many companies are tightening their belts and procurement seems to take much longer. We had Apple, Google, Meta, Tesla and others doing preemptive layoffs because they know the shit is about to hit the fan.
Buckle up Frens, I think we're in for a very bumpy ride.
What kills me us the government is gas lighting everyone saying inflation is only 9% or so when my grocery bill seemed to double or more. My electric bill was $350 this month and house prices are ridiculously over inflated.
The FedEx CEO has been talking about this for a few weeks. He's worried gas prices are going to do them in as most of the deliveries are made by local contractors, who don't have the margins to absorb outrageous gas prices...though actually it seems no one has the wherewithal to absorb outrageous gas prices.
