Maybe, as a gesture to the people, they could declare no limits on thermostats on Monday. If everyone is home watching the funeral on TV, it would be nice if they didn't have to scrape the frost off the screen repeatedly.

I have tomatoes in December some years. We don't have really cold weather until January and February.
