Dolly was a baby sheep. If they cloned human babies at the time of the Dolly reveal, and they lived, they’d be in their twenties now. And they’d pretty much be like twins of their donor but younger.
In Star Wars Attack of the Clones the filmmakers got around the age issue by saying the cloners genetically engineered the clones to grow up twice as fast as normal. Cheesy solution, but at least they recognized the issue that clones start out as babies.
Unless the cloners have the age-accelerating technology, for a real person to be replaced by his clone the clone would have to be around the same age. If there’s a clone of Tom Brady who is around the same age, then Brady’s DNA would have been harvested when Brady was still young, in the late 1970s. Maybe “they” secretly had cloning tech back then, but why would they choose young Tommy Brady? He’s from a normal Irish/Polish Catholic middle class family. He was a smart kid but not too athletic. He said he was overshadowed by his softball playing sisters.
So in order for there to be a clone of Brady that can now pass for the real Brady’s age, the clone would’ve been “born” shortly after the real Brady, or the clone could’ve been “born” later if the age accelerating tech existed and was used. Both are seriously far-fetched, so stray502 is correct that clone claims look like lunacy. Brady’s not a clone, he just lost weight and the photo is a certain angle.
