Is there anything hemp can’t do? A year after hemp became legal to grow in the United States,
we’ve seen its power to make better clothing, better buildings and better medicine.
Now, there’s something else hemp appears to be better at. ✴making batteries✴
Most auto batteries today are made from lithium-ion, an expensive, quickly disappearing material.
A team of American and Canadian researchers have developed a battery that could be used in cars and power tool
using hemp bast fiber – the inner bark of the plant that usually ends up in landfill.
They “cooked” the woody pulp and processed them into carbon nanosheets, which they used to build supercapacitors “on a par with or better than graphene” – the industry gold standard.
Graphene is a synthetic carbon material lighter than foil yet bulletproof, but it is prohibitively expensive to make.
“People ask me: why hemp? I say, why not?” inventor David Mitlin tells the BBC.
“We’re making graphene-like materials for a thousandth of the price – and we’re doing it with waste.”
Mitlin, a chemical engineer, first published a description of his team’s battery in the journal ACS Nano in 2014.
More recently, a YouTuber put the hemp battery to the test against a lithium-ion battery and found it to be 8 times more powerful!
Tesla’s new million-mile battery is made from lithium-iron phosphate, which is supposed to last twice as long as conventional lithium-ion batteries.
While more abundant and cheaper than lithium-ion, lithium-iron-phosphate still can’t compete with the apparently far-more-powerful (and renewable) hemp!

Quite right. This isn't anything new though. This was reported at least back in 2014; some 8 years ago, and probably known earlier. So, where is this technology and why isn't it in the marketplace?
The answer is that it is being blocked from ever getting into the marketplace. Why would I say this? Because any improvement to battery efficiency, or similar, will tip the scale away from dependency on the energy grid. Governments typically don't want this, especially the one world government. People will be using this new technology to free themselves of dependency and power their homes and shops off-the-grid.
For those pundits who insist the technology will only improve, that's yet another deception and fraud. Why do I say this? Read up on the Invention Secrecy Act, then become familiar with 35 U.S.C. 181; the so-called Secrecy of Certain Inventions and Withholding of Patent to understand there are several suffocating national security measures against inventions and new energy technology. National security is all about maintaining the monopolies and oligopolies that have been ruling our economy. This ought to be the fact everyone knows.
From the government's point of view, this would be an absolute threat to the infrastructure of the United States. During the Obama presidency, there was a dramatic move in several States to eliminate existing off-the-grid homes. One example was Los Angeles County's move to find any 'gotcha' violations to the many off-the-grid homes in Antelope Valley. The many decades old homesteaders were forced to disassemble and remove their homes for reasons that were never formally an issue in the decades living there. In many other States, they were forcing homesteaders through draconian requirements and lawfare to be on the grid or their homes were seized.
The United States economic infrastructure is a national security issue. But, how far does one take this? This is why the advancement of energy technology will never happen. The corporate monopolies and oligarchies have long been in bed with government to which they themselves are quasi-government entities, similar to the US Post Office. It's all about control and having complete power over you and I. The very definition of government is power and control. It is always a pervasive and abusive force.
If you have issue believing this scenario I painted above in regards to inventions, lets look at the number of patented inventions confiscated by the US government. The most recent information I have is from 2015, to which there were an accumulation of 5,579 invention secrecy orders in effect. In that year alone there were 95 new secrecy orders imposed. Only 36 prior orders have ever been rescinded in the history of this Act. How many more have there been in seven years up to 2022?
The Cabal will never allow improved energy inventions to become commercialized for the reason of maintaining total control. The wonders of innovation are continuously being stymied. From their lofty seat of financial power the decision has been made that there are too many cars on the roads and only option is public transportation. This is all about the 2030 Agenda. Believe it or not, I've been hearing this chatter since the 1970s.
Indeed, there is marvelous technology not being allowed in the public sphere. The government only enforces the status quo. There is existing right now far better technology in batteries. As mentioned in the article, Hemp fibers are better than graphene for superconductivity and can be implemented in batteries. They have experimented with all flavours of biowaste - from peat moss to eggs. Even banana peels can be turned into very good batteries. Then there are nano-diamond self-charging batteries that could disrupt energy as we know it. The list of inventions goes on and on. None of them are on the market for the reason I mentioned above. Absolute Control.
Did you know in 1971, energy conversion systems were subject to review and possible restriction if they offered conversion efficiencies “in excess of 70-80%.” How much has changed from that time to the present? Automobiles today still get approximately the same MPG as in the 1930s. The only technology that has drastically changed are the computers; so-called "Smart" technology, which is really a euphemism for a Spy Device.
That's not what I said. You said this. In fact, that question you made isn't germane to the subject I addressed.
I completely disagree with you. Using ad hominems tells me you have nothing to provide here. Goodbye.
Very good post. My Parents lived this scenario. Father was an engineer and an inventor. Before the early 70’s “manufactured” gas shortages my father had an invention that saved fuel mileage on millions of vehicles. He was “invited” by a certain very wealthy person/family, that is commonly” referred to as part of the Cabal on social media, to showcase his patents and was urged to accept their “help” in bringing to the market. He didn’t accept and the Company was stolen from him with the assistance of the Small Business Association (SBA). It did come to market but at a fraction of the potential. The System only allows what the “controllers” want.
My regrets hearing this about your dad. This type of theft is more common than people know. It happened to me. I watch an invention I developed get stolen from me that was 'shopped' around to all the companies unbeknownst to me. How do I know it happened? One company I visited presenting my prototype let it slip out that 'someone' from the university came in the other day with my invention. This academic later started a company with my idea. Yea, it happens far more than people think.
