tools are not good or bad on their own, its the people that use them
And Iād say the shape of society speaks for itself sometimes in this regard.
"Shape" 1) = physical size dimension of mass ie human body

Picking up any other tool though.. say a hammer.. doesn't mean that some faceless goon I cant even see can control my hammer remotely, and can use it to attack my interests, my family, or my neighbors. At will, at any time, with no negative repercussions or consequences.
I dont know for that reason that it can even really be classified honestly as a tool. And if it still is, its certainly not a tool of the person who thinks they own the phone.
It and social media are weapons, but those weapons got turned on them too.
Reminds me of the Little House on the Prairie episodes when Harriet was caught listening in at the switchboard and spreading gossip around Walnut Grove.
Reminds me of Deadwood too, where the telegraph coming to town was seen almost as a government invasion and the end of the frontier.
Easier isnt always best.
