Military air traffic always ramps up during the latter half of the month, ESPECIALLY at the end of the Fiscal Year, due to squadrons using up their avgas funding so they can get the same amount, if not more, funding the next Qtr or Fiscal Year.
When I was in the Navy as an Aviation Ordnanceman, we NEVER had any no-fly days during the month of September. And during the last half of that month, we'd be flying nearly 24 hrs/day until Sept 30th, just to use up as much fuel as we could. Anything left over at the end of the Qtr or Fiscal Year gets taken of the next budget because the military can't have any fuel surplus.
IDK. Marine veteran Derek Johnson has explained that Trump's activation of the national guard in all 50 states is still in effect and this is happening by law.

This is probably the case here.
I was in the army and we had to waste all funding too if any was left over. It is amazing how much waste is in the military.
The public should at least get to watch them waste it all, since we pay for it. For enjoyment purposes, from some bleachers or something
