That is very true. I had a friend that told me he would get the vaccine even though I was telling him it was a bad idea. His reason was because blacks were more susceptible to the virus than white folks like me. At the time I didn't know if that were true or not so really didn't have a argument against his reasoning.

He was in poor health already, but he died just a few months later of a heart attack. I never knew for sure that he took the vaccine since I had moved away and only had limited phone contact with him, but I think it probable.
