A lot of people truly believe that the mailbox is "truly secure." While it is a "federal crime" to tamper with the mail or even votes, for that matter, that never stopped any criminal from collecting your packages on the doorstop or the mailbox. Heck, that never stops the USPS from stealing. A scene from The Simpsons depicts mail workers opening envelopes for cash sent through the mail. Nothing stopped the USPS from opening our votes, seeing that we voted Trump/Republican and destroying those votes.
