I believe it. So that's much different I suppose than Jacobins.
"WHEN WAS THE JACOBITE REBELLION?
The Jacobite rebellion timeline is quite complex. It all started with James VII, as we called him in Scotland or James II as he was known in England, the last Roman Catholic monarch to reign over the kingdoms of England, Scotland and Ireland. Invaded by his Protestant son-in-law and subsequently overthrown, James was forced into exile in France. The Jacobites (which means supporter of James) were around from his time until well into the next century."

Thanks for that.
Very different types of groups depending if France or England.
"In the British Empire Jacobin was linked primarily to The Mountain of the French Revolutionary governments and was popular among the established and entrepreneurial classes as a pejorative to deride radical left-wing revolutionary politics, especially when it exhibits dogmatism and violent repression.[5] In Britain the term faintly echoed negative connotations of Jacobitism, the pro-Catholic, monarchist, rarely insurrectional political movement that faded out decades earlier tied to deposed King James II and VII and his descendants. Jacobin reached obsolescence and supersedence before the Russian Revolution, when the terms (Radical) Marxism, anarchism, socialism and communism had overtaken it.
In France, Jacobin now generally leans towards moderate authoritarianism, more equal formal rights and centralization.[6] It can, similarly, denote supporters of extensive government intervention to transform society.[7] It is unabashedly used by proponents of a state education system ..."

I appreciate your giving me the benefit of the doubt, so sincere appreciation and thanks. A fellow jock here.
I would consider myself sympathetic to the Jacobite cause inasmuch as our current monarchy are interlopers. We have been ruled over by a foreign infiltrative monarchy since the reformation whereas, if we must have a monarchy at all, it should be the Stuarts.
Although to complicate matters I don’t like Catholicism as I consider it an absolute perversion of Jesus teachings so not very easy to resolve.
