Me and my brother are the only two in our family who have awakened. Trying to wake up my dad from his 50+ years of Baptist indoctrination is like pulling teeth. He gets the illuminati and moon hoax and 9/11 but he doesn't believe pedo rings exist or that Clinton really has a body count. And even bringing up higher dimensions, Antarctica, etc brings a very quick "where is this in the Bible?"
AAGGHH! I am wondering of the 4-6% are going to be the middle-aged Christians. It's very depressing when I can barely relate to dad anymore on politics.
Yeah. Unpopular take here: I love Christians and consider myself one in a lot of ways, but I do think they have blinders on when it comes to the Bible.
Here's my view: if you can't trust a news article that was published yesterday, why do you trust a book that was published thousands of years ago, written secondhand about events that transpired centuries prior, then translated dozens of times and propped up as a cornerstone of our culture? You think the government hasn't already compromised such a book for their benefit?
Luke 23:34 is a perfect example:
This is a deliberate mistranslation that amounts to pacifist propaganda. Here's what it originally said:
The meaning was completely inverted. This might sound outrageous, but some of the philosophy in the modern Bible is outright Satanic.
That said, a man devoted to his faith probably won't want to hear this stuff. It is important though.

I am very interested by Luke 23:34. Which translations have the "correct" terminology? the KJV shows the same wording!
Yep, nearly every Bible has that mistranslation now. If you repeat a mistake often enough, it becomes the norm - it's like a game of telephone.
The Textus Receptus correctly interprets the original text by accounting for the punctuation - check the link in my previous post for more info, it's one of the most eye-opening threads on GAW in my opinion.
