The simple (yet frustratingly nebulous) answer is: something changed.
That could be a new, novel strategy by the white hats. That could be the movement of loyalist personnel into a series of key positions. It could simply be the conclusion of an extremely long plan.
We must also consider the possibility that the coup de grace is not actually coming from the military and that statements from Q about the military being "the only way" are a feint.
That being said, I strongly believe that the "good guys" have tried before and failed. I base this on Q drops and some of my own long-term contacts. There has been at least one time where they were close, but ran out of options. Since then, the Cabal has gotten larger, stronger and more integrated into American government, society and industry.
I strongly believe that there is a story here that puts even the best Tom Clancy books to shame. Whether that story will ever be fully told, we can only hope.
