Correct. It still costs me just ~$8.00 to fully charge my Tesla from 0-100% (300+ miles) at home. Superchargers are more expensive, but I only do one or two road trips a year where i would use those. Electric cars aren't for everyone, but they're not exclusively for hippies.
DC fast charging is always spendy, and their use should be the exception rather than the rule.
A better comparison would be what you pay to charge at home.
