I am seeing, first-hand, hospitals that have been around for decades, closing their doors faster than new ones are built. I am also seeing that the population of these hospitals are becoming more an more "low income", whether it's single mothers with multiple kids, drug addiction, drunk driving accidents - I am seeing people who cannot afford medical care, demanding the best.
I am seeing the maternity ward, being overwhelmingly filled with minority children, born to mothers who don't have a job. I'm seeing the Welfare system being abused and stretched by countless illegals flocking into our country, not for a job; but for the benefits.
That's all true. But it's the symptom of the bigger problem.
We're not even arguing points, we're in agreement as to what is transpiring now. I'm just pointing out that the medical industry in it's entirely is a house of cards. Built on the sickening profit system
Absolutely correct. Add to that the MD's who are over-worked, the nurses who dedicate their life to comforting those who are sick - stuck in a system they are having less control of day by day.
Then technology is growing, and the new equipment with the best resolution, most capabilities and specialized training does not come cheap.
And foolish politicians who feel compelled to control systems they cannot begin to grasp understanding.
The part that frustrates me, and probably you to; is the fools in charge are not the people who will pay the consequences for their foolishness. We are the ones who will ultimately pay the price. BTW - it's been a delight discussing this with you.
If so, then why are so many hospitals going bankrupt?

If, as you claim, Hospitals are making a profit - then wouldn't the logical response be "make more of them"?
Do you know what bankruptcy is used for when it comes to big business?
Erase debt and obligations, keep resources, re-establish credit.
