I mean you seem to think that torpedos can't be air dropped, or that missiles of any kind (which definitively a torpedo is a missile) can't be activated on a timer or at range or any number of variables. You're wrong, my dude. Being a pissant about it isn't helping you.
No. It is very simple. Torpedoes cannot home on static objects. They home on acoustic signatures (i.e., ships or submarines). We've been dropping torpedoes from airplanes since World War II. They are active when they become armed, which is a function of flight condition and timer...not any number of variables.
Torpedoes have Ben dropped from aircraft since the 1910s. The story is bullshit.
