In the bible, I forget which book, there was a guy who had two wives, one of whom was called Rachel. Maybe someone can help me out here.
Anyway, he sent his wives away to some new land and he would join them later. Then, he spent all night wrestling with some man, all night long. Eventually he overcame the fight and God renamed him Israel.
I always took that story to represent him fighting with himself, maybe meditating so that he could open his pineal gland. When he did, he experienced God.
All ancient religions know about the pineal gland. It regulates your sleep wake hormones and literally has similar cells as in your eyes.
The pineal gland looks like a pine cone, hence pine-al. The Vatican has a statue of a pine cone. They known the truth and have hidden it from us. In Egypt, in Luxor is a temple - Karnak. When viewed from above, it literally is built like a human body. The altar is exactly where the pineal gland is. They knew and made the eye of Horus based on it.
Interesting you would mention this. It indeed smacks of it, as it happened, according to the story, at BETHEL or BETH-EL = House of God. Not neccesarily a physical place, but could very well be considered something that alludes to the pineal gland.
Thank you. And I agree, it is indeed a sign of literalist mindset. I also noted that questions for further elaboration are downvoted.
Considering these responses, it becomes clear that awakening is a progressive thing. That is why it is rendered with the -ing suffix as in present continuous. Certain people are still in the early stages.

I could go on, but I'll stop.

Kudos for mentioning this! Thanks!
There's nothing in your comment that deserves a downvote. We're not as open minded in this community as we think.

But that is ok.
