These guys are America's heroes. More so than celebrities and sports stars. I am so grateful for the ones that get our power back up after a storm.
Heroes indeed. The very best of us.
They are heroes. In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, which devastated our area in NJ, there were lineman from Texas, Florida, the Carolinas and Midwestern states, and others.
Encountered several caravans this week headed south on I-75 in TN/KY.
The dudes pictures and videos were incredible. he had the same amount of trucks in front of him and behind him and that the videos didnt do it justice cause there were 5 or 6 rows waiting to leave
Still see em in community, whenever a fire gets nasty, out of state trucks'll pop in to lend a hose.
I'd honestly be curious what percentage are men.
Laughs in Jordan Peterson
This is American Exceptionalism. Take care of your neighbor.
My neighbors barn burnt down a few weeks ago. Hes been getting the run around from insurance. I felt bad because i saw his zero turn became a pile of melted aluminum so ive gone and cut his grass twice now. The second time he tried to give me 60 bucks "to cover the gas" and i told him no thanks, i just want to be there for my neighbors.
I dont think it gets more patriotic and loving than this.
Yeah, the money tjey are raking In for one months work is equal to 6 months pay. My buddy goes to every disaster like this to do line work. Very dangerous shit. Curre.tly about 20k linemen here in florida.
.Thanks for getting our power uo quick.
Are those deicing trucks?
nah my buddy runs lines so thats all straight up power grid peeps
Yeah someone pointed it out, I just couldn't tell because there were no signs on any of the trucks.
Those are the trucks used by power companies to repair/replace damaged power lines - the hurricane destroyed a lot of the electric infrastructure like poles, transformers, power lines.....until they are repaired/replaced - no power
I figured that was it, I just couldn't tell because there's no signage on any of the trucks.
