I don't condone or even stomach animal testing. Animals are innocent in human affairs and should be left out of them. If you want to test science on animals, use people. I am fairly certain there are people out there that feel strongly enough about furthering science that they can find volunteers. People are capable of deciding to participate in trials, animals are not given a choice. In a civilized society, this is simply not acceptable. I know that science is advanced through animal testing, but maybe we should just slow down and take more time to gain scientific achievements. Everybody is in such a hurry to make their name. Perhaps we can develop slowly enough that our morality can adjust to new tech more appropriately, instead of always playing catch up, after massive mistakes.
