I was just reading the part of the article about Jon Stewart, I know he's a leftist but he did a hella good job making fun of Obama when he was in office. I actually watched his show sometimes then.
I know little about Trevor Noah, watched a couple of his videos on youtube didn't care for him.
stewart had his bias, and he went softer on obama than other guests (he had him on a few times), but he would actually push back on him at least a little.
Stewart left the Daily Show 2-3 months before Trump announced run for president. I sometimes wondered if Stewart knew and retired because he was in a no-win situation. He’s been fairly quiet since leaving.
Possible, but Stewart didn't have a big audience to begin with, and he's even less popular now. I knew he was biased when I watched his show. I didn't watch on any network just a few videos on youtube.
Stewart averaged 2.5M viewers and had many viral clips on YouTube.
Meanwhile, Noah lost over more than half those viewers (never averaging more than 800,000 viewers a season) and once Trump left office, his refusal to make fun of Biden means he has no content to speak of.
Noah's numbers have dropped to sub 400,000 and most of his viewers are likely Nielsen ratings households.

Stewart succeeded because he at least tried to be balanced. After Trump’s election the true colors came out and people turned this crap off.
i remember Stewart went after Cramer hard as he deserved it that piece of shit kept flip flopping while people lost their money
look up on youtube john stewart steven colbert covid origin, he shreds colbert for thinking covid did not start in a chinese lab
I figured as much I only ever watched a few youtube videos of his show.

Jon Stewart and the Daily Show defended Ron Paul in 2008 when everyone else was dogpiling him. I still appreciate that.
"Comedy Central insider" anon on 4chan said that Jon Stewart was given a bunch of money to come back to influence the 2024 election.
Most likely BS like every other "insider", but interesting!
