That's not a q drop
Yeah, we do have lots of new faces around here since things have been picking up.
For the op: "No outside comms"
Funny that this "newbie" has been around longer than both of you combined. If you can't keep up, get out of the way.
Nothing? You do know @Q isnt Q right?
You know that Q said "no outside comms" right?
Ok then pro, why are you calling something a q drop that isnt?
There was just coms about the undersea internet cables.
Someone attackes those, star link would be needed.
Once Star Link is fully adopted they can move the globe to a centrilized digital banking system and cant be taken out.
It's true that the cables being damaged would cause issues, but there is so much redundancy that it wouldn't take the whole net down.
No, to take the whole net down you need to poison BGP at all the peering points. That would stop it dead.
Wasn’t there a BGP issue a few months ago? Maintenance gone wrong? Maybe it was a test.
Yes a while ago facebook.com had a bgp issue, and more recently Rogers in Canada had a major nationwide outage due to a bgp issue. It shut down many payment systems and some banks...
There certainly was, and it mysteriously fixed itself.
Also, I didn't see much of an explanation in the ISP tech press either.
Is that good or bad?
I guess neither. They will have to put forth some sort of world currency system eventually. It would be one step closer to Christs return if it happens.
Strangley enough my starlink is currently down.
