This coincides with the reported rise of atheism and declining identification with religious adherence, particularly orthodox Christianity. When so many truly disbelieve or at least doubt that Satan is real, that evil is real, and thus God is not real, the revelation that proves the opposite will result in massive exploding minds a la Mars Attacks.
