Yes it is. Jr made a rumble video about it when it first happened. About how the entire country is rigged against the little guy. He also tweeted about it.

Yes and no. They're similar in that both involve regular people learning about and reacting en masse to hidden corruption, but they're both completely different in terms of the people involved. They don't cross paths in any meaningful way.
