I've been reading a book about the history of Christianity; the early reformists (Wycliffe and others) and the clear anti-Christian practices/beliefs of the Catholic church. As a Christian, I had always believed the Catholic church was rampant with blasphemous beliefs and practices, but after reading about the early Catholic church and what those early popes did, I am even more convinced! Any Catholics on this board need to look into the history of the Roman church! One Bible verse does not a religion make!
That's the essence. Knowing that it is faith, not by works, that humans are saved. The Catholic church instituted all kinds of "works" to appeal to the desire of humans to work for their salvation. Salvation is a gift of God, and it is an insult to Him to try to earn it. Just by reading through a Bible should convince anyone that the Catholic church is far from what is clearly stated. That is the reason that the common people were virtually blocked from reading the Bible until recent times.
Agree. You know God loves us with all his heart, He is so good to us that he gave his own son to save us. Why not to love God? I am so grateful to God to be born and live all these years. I ask everyday why he loves me so much, I do not deserve so much love from him, but he is always there for me and all of us.
One Bible verse does not a religion make! I think that's called hammer on the nail. Or hammer on the rock. I really think even catholics don't believe that their church is His church. It may be the pope's but certainly not Christ's church. There is just too much corruption.

I am Catholic however I do not follow certain things anymore. I follow Jesus Christ Holy Spirit and Lord our God. Three in one.
