Has anyone noticed that as soon as October 1 hits, we are bombarded with Halloween, daemonic movies and TV shows, everything‘s an ugly green and purple color, and we are just being bombarded with evil on all sides. This will continue until October 31.
Then a week later, we’re all supposed to vote. Whether it be midterms, or a presidential election, it all follows after a month of Satanism. Does anybody think that was planned from the beginning? Thoughts of discussion appreciated.
I personally just came to this epiphany today, as Roku tries to change your background, and any other streaming service that you use will be featuring programs regarding Halloween topics such as follows; Vampires, demons, kidnapping stories, slasher movies, thrillers, and all manner of content to cause anxiety, misery, and tension. All this happens right before our elections. Why?
Halloween traditions are far,far older than America or colonization itself. Just like pretty much everything in old Europe, it's a mix of germanic pagan, roman pagan and christian (mostly catholic).
Also, slasher movies used to be cautionary tales against things like drugs, promiscuity, heavy drinking and such.(see the kind of people that normally get killed first in those movies).
Monster horror movies used their monsters to symbolize and play around the innate fears of the human psyche, and those created by the modern way of life.
Yes I know Halloween‘s been around for centuries, however why do we vote one week after Halloween. Just wondering.
Also I do not watch horror movies. I think they’re stupid, and they insult my intelligence. When I see a person walking into a barn with a candle in the middle of the night by themselves, I’m sorry but that’s just stupidity. I’ve never understood why people want to watch scary movies, why do people wanna be scared, how stupid is that. But people love it.
I think the eye is the window to the soul, and once you see something you cannot unsee it. Ever! That’s how MK ultra works. I have chosen to not allow those scenes in those graphic bloody murderus events be a part of my memory. Over the years the movie industry has increasingly created more and more disgusting, hateful, and sinful Contant. I am grateful I have chosen to not allow that community to corrupt my soul.
People watch them for the adrenaline, kind of like bungee-jumping, riding a rollercoaster or hunting wild hogs in the middle of the night.
I personally prefer watching the making of right after and see how every single one of those tricks got pulled. That's just as much entertaining as the movie itself for me. The old stuff, that is. Nowadays it's just loud screeching sounds and CGI.
I also prefer horror literature.Kinda like discussing horror books and the aspects of the human psychology present in each and every one of them.
That’s an interesting take on it. Going back over how each and every scene was created, does give the movie less credibility, and gives it more of a reason for how they actually made it happen. I could understand that.
Psychological thrillers are kind of interesting, as long as there is not a lot of guts and blood. My favorite are long-standing murder mysteries by Agatha Christie, and Sherlock Holmes. I watch a lot of British TV. It’s an entire different outlook on entertainment. My mother and I spent time during the show discussing who we think the culprit is, we’re probably right 50% of the time.
Ngl that I still kinda enjoy Stephen King's works like Pet Sematary, The Shining, Christine, It and stuff. Guy went full leftie retard in the last dozen years, but I still see some value in analysing his older work.
Good for you for understanding .. it’s way not good for our minds or spirit !
Hey friend how are you? Hope all is well with you. Yeah I just don’t like it. It’s dark, ugly, and it seeps into peoples minds. All I remember when I was a teenager we went to see Dawn of the dead, after that one movie I was done. I was not ever interested in the horror movies ever again. My idea of a horror movie is young Frankenstein what gene wilder.
No kidding ,, I went to see the exorcist when I was 14 when th Linda Blair , that was my first and only horror movie and thst really isn’t considered horror , not by today’s standards! how are you doing my friend!
Roll! Roll! Roll in ze hay!
I don't watch that stuff either. Ever.
I stopped because it all went so formulaic and boring. Just cheap haunted house fare with jumpscares, blaring noises and a CGI monster. Gone are the days of The Thing, Alien, Friday the 13th, and so on.
I never watched those either. I don't enjoy feeling scared. I don't go on roller coasters or bungy jump either! 🙂 my husband loves that stuff
Yeah a lot of it is definitely the sounds. Have you ever watched a movie that seems to be scary, and you just put it on mute. All the sudden all those emotions they try to suck out if you, disappear. When people watch videos on YouTube that are conspiracy theory stuff, or just Pointing out negativity in the world, I always tell people to watch them without the sound. Well if it’s not people speaking. But that’s all that scary music, and that music that they used to try to make the topic seem more serious and looming, I greatly dislike videos like that and they refuse to watch them. I don’t need to be manipulated into an emotion to know that somethings bad.
The original Blob. 🙂
