Accepting temporary losses in specific areas while sustaining few casualties and inflicting large casualties on the enemy forces surging forward is consistent with Russia's strategy to win the war with low losses on their end. It creates surface area for the enemy to toot its own horn in the media for a few minutes (albeit while hundreds of their soldiers are buried) but is not some kind of indication that Russia's actually losing.
If Russia lost the number of soldiers their enemy is losing in this "win" it's all we'd hear about from folks like you for weeks.
I'm claiming that you obviously watch the fake news and believe them.

Is the Russian Defense Ministry fake news as well?
We are in the midst of a global misinformation war...I'm skeptical of it all.
