On Oct. 2, 2022 she sent her last tweet. It was this Bible verse:
John 3:20-21
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
May she rest in peace. God gave her great talents and her music will live on.

If there is any celebrity out there who should be a beacon of hope for all of the young people out there pregnant and scared.... this woman became a mother at 15 and a grandmother at 29. If my memory serves me right. The baby is always worth the struggle.
Granted not everybody can eventually be a country star to support the baby but still.. she did not give up on the baby.
She was a good singer and a good song writer. She took on controversial subjects, such as birth control, before it was fashionable.
I've listened to her since her very first record, "I'm A Honky Tonk Girl."
