No one is saying modern culture is perfect or not without its own atrocities. But we're not here to compare civilizations. We're simply talking about facts. Cannibalism, sacrifices, torture - these were actual happenings in tribal societies. It's just the facts - whether you like it or not.
So your argument is that they made all this up as justification for their acts. But the thing is, they were going to take possession of resources regardless, and I don't think they needed to invent a propaganda campaign to defend their behavior - the British were not concerned with their actions or how they appeared on the Word stage so to speak, as the British Empire was ruling the world. They had no one they had to sway to their side. There is plenty of evidence that cannibalism, torture, sacrifice were all part of these tribal societies - but it was also part of tribal societies in other continents. It's not exclusive to Blacks. The problem with this post is it seems to be trying to paint a picture that Black are inherently proposed to this behavior, which of course is nonsense. We had incredibly advanced societies in Africa and all over the world. But also, there have been incredibly violent societies too. I'm simply saying there was an abundance of evidence that points to the reality of these tribal behaviors.
And I am not trying to say Africa was the land of sunshine and rainbows either. In my opinion it was a bit of both. Greed for resources, and also savage as fuck.
I am stating for the "authors and expeditions" Alot were paid for by the Kings of the time. They sent scouts to check other lands for resources. Which is likely why they embellished the savagery. To "dehumanize" them to the public. To make them "heathens, infidels, cannibals" All the labels used to portray someone they want invaded.

And I am stating. If you scout an area, and you see a wealth of natural resources. And you want them for YOUR OWN country........what would you do?
Say that "the savages" eat eachother! Oh heavens me...."we must bring them God's words"......#invaded.

Possibly true - but possibly false. We'll never know for sure.
There's gold in them there hills... and also blood thirsty heathens
And were any of you there to claim this is FACT? I mean the British have a track record but let's believe everything they claim about "history" 🤦♀️🔫
