My wife came from Mexico and adapted the American way of life. Mexico is a craphole full of corruption that can't be undone and we need MORE people like her (she was mugged twice in her last year there). The reason America is full of the brightest minds is not because they were all born here but because they move here for the opportunity to put that talent to use. America was built on the backs of people who moved here from other countries and put in the hard work required and taught their children the same values. Fix the welfare system and those that come here will succeed or die, but the problem is not immigration, the problem is our corrupt government. Um dude, those historical figures wouldn't even have been here without immigration...that argument doesn't make sense. And they are not taking away jobs like people think. There is a HUGE lack of people working in the trades. Nearly everywhere in the country needs more tradesmen but us Americans who are ALREADY here are lazy and FAT and won't get off our asses. I created my own business, stop acting like you need to be handed a job. Whether you succeed in life is on YOU and can't be blamed on immigrants. I don't like mass immigration but the original statement was about "legal immigration" and mass immigration only exists because of our own government's issues. Getting rid of immigration doesn't solve that, but draining the swamp in it's entirety would, and I assume we can both agree to that.
