Been to and through Richmond, VT many times. Lovely small town on the Winooski River with a famous "round" church. Most folks that live there commute into the Burlington area for work. Many at IBM or the U of Vermont. So despite being rural, much of the populace is urban in nature. Add in that Vermont is very liberal in general.
Never heard anyone talking about fluoride in my 20 years of living there. But I often heard about Act 250, Vermont’s land use and development law that opened the door to state government interference and control of private property. But that's okay with most Vermonters because it protects the environment, you know. That's the mindset.
