In 2020 my state's health board made it a requirement for all students in the 11th grade. School is now requesting I give them my son's shot record and that he have the initial and the booster shot.
I've found some info on it, such as it becoming available in the early 70's but mostly used for children in Africa and Middle-East. What I am looking for is the the number of annual cases for Neisseria meningitidis in the US. basically, what is the risk and exposure he is facing.
I can't find (doesn't mean they aren't there and just covered up) any major adverse effects of the vaccine. Curious what other parents here with kids around the same age did or are planning to do.
I'm not against vaccines, I just think it is a weird flex for the state to mandate this vaccine and at the time they did it (2020). Needless to say, my confidence and trust in any health board or organization, especially the CDC and FDA, is completely gone after the covid era.
I don't have any information for you, but no vaccines for my kids at all, ever again. My eyes have been opened and it appears most, if not all, do more harm than good and your kids are certainly at more risk to adverse reactions. It's a scam, in my book. Get a doc that will write you up an exemption.
I think our pediatrician just tried to push this on my 12 year old and I said no. It was a few hundred in all of the US. You can find it online. A good eye opener is just how many mandatory vaxx in the US are optional or only “recommended” in Europe. That includes the MMR. The more you know, the more depressing it all becomes. We have been lied to and it worked because we were so trusting.
Do Not do this to your son ! For sake of time I will not go into details , but vaxx” are safe , none of them !!! the damage and death from these poisonous jabs is criminal ! My daughter was damaged, once awake, I started signing medical wavers here in Cali , they are no longer accepted ! I would pull my son out of school before I took the chance of damaging his body or worse ! There are so many parents who cannot go back and change their decision ! So much needless suffering !

In PA you can get a vax exemption for any reason. I filed for that. No more vaxxes after this fiasco

I have been gathering facts and sources ready to do battle with the school about this, but seeing your post got me looking into my states health board and they also offer a blanket exemption from all school vax requirements. Filled it out, submitted it and all done. You were a big help in pointing me in the right direction.

Exactly, which is why it is very weird that they would make it mandatory when we were in the middle of lock-down / social distancing. That had to cut the number of cases to basically 0.
