NOBODY applies to be a Young Global Leader....Klaus Schwab just names them. Some are being promoted, like the nobody Tulsi Gabbard. Others are just named after achieving prominence on their own, either in the hope of influencing them or to put political strink on them....IMO.

"Tulsi!" and Eye-Patch actually attended the conference/forum, though. Many do not.
