I, unfortunately, believe that the fact he hasn’t bowed out is a white hat move to tip the race to Oz.
There’s apparently no way for a replacement candidate to be put on the ballot now. I was honestly hoping midterms wouldn’t happen considering our choices for Senate here in PA.
I am sorry to hear about your father’s stroke. But you and I appear to be in the majority of what people—and even official GOP accounts—are saying in terms of why this man is unfit for office.
Had Fetterman done the right thing from the get-go, they could have given the nomination to the Democratic candidate with the second-most votes. By not stepping down, he's pretty much handed the race to Oz, IMO.
I read one article that suggested the Dem's game plan was to get Shapiro elected governor, get Fetterman to step down (assuming he won), then Shapiro could hand-pick Fetterman's wife to fill the now-vacant position, as she is a Marxist.
