It was like people never watched a dystopian movie before. I know Hollywood was taken over by these globalists like every other institution, but there were still plenty of movies showing people not to trust an all-powerful, centralized authority, or to at least be sceptical of them. The hero is always the guy on the side of freedom and humanity.
