I believe you are speaking of “Shaka” I’m not an expert but I don’t see this as the same as the devil sign. Hawaiian’s still honor the old ways and say they prayers at special ceremonies. I’ve heard a lot of people give opinions on Hawaii’s traditions or religion as being satanic. I can’t say if that’s true or not, I don’t know enough about it. I’ve been to Hawaii and it was one of my top travel experiences.
I believe the Shaka 🤙🏾 is also the international symbol for everything is ok. I haven’t researched it. Seems like it the Benghazi movie 13 Hours I saw this used. It’s the scene the US was trying to get weapons or either a plane out (not sure which) The US has sniper on the foreign guy the US was talking to. That guy started doing the Shaka & they stood down. Said it meant everything is ok. He didn’t speak English. Maybe military people can verify if this is true or not. Never know with Hollywood.
