Even though we totally understand the DS will always be acquitted in the civilian justice system, we reflexively want to see them being brought to trial. Look at the Sussman trial, the case was proven beyond a reasonable doubt, but due to jury nullification, he walked.

Durham knows he’ll never get a conviction in a DC area court. So, he is using these trials to force evidence into the proceedings and the public eye that normally would get swept under the rug.
