What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
At the moment I am scoffing Mother (called American Mother in the UK, dual dessert and cooker), they are delicious. Sweet enough when cooked not to need sugar. I have 19 old varieties, they are wonderful.
Please send me the recipe. I would love to try new things. I find that some of the recipes on the Internet are underwhelming. I am confident in knowing some thing that would come from you, and the Cotswolds, would be delicious. Hands-down!
I just peel, core, slice the apples and cook till soft. A combination of Golden Noble, which cooks to a puree, and Am Mother which keeps its shape, works well. They don't need sugar. Freeze or bottle, I use Kilner jars. Great for pies and crumbles or on its own with cream or yogurt.
