I regret I have but one upvote to give you. Voluntaryism is civil society -- assuming reasonable emotional health levels and a sane culture (without which ANY society becomes corrupt and dangerous).

When a group -- a government, a crime syndicate, call it what you will -- is allowed to Initiate coercion even in limited areas with impunity (forcible taxation being the foot in the door), things go downhill in a hurry.
