Fun fact. The U.S Military used to issue Nuclear Ordinance at the battalion level during the Cold War. With discretion on its use ultimately left up to unit commanders. Budgetary and manpower concerns, not to mention the concern the enlisted may accidentally start a Nuclear War when left unsupervised with the Nuclear Artillery pieces they were issued eventually saw them pulled from frontline service.
Someone thought giving a bunch of 20-30 year olds Nukes and the discretion of when to use them was a genius idea.
I think ultimately that is the kind of Military era to emulate. Where the primary issue is debating whether itβs a good idea or not to give the enlisted Nuclear Weapons. Not being concerned over gender, diversity quotas or other woke shit.
