Election Polling is a crude relic, kept around as misdirection, they know the results before polling day just by aggregating Fb/Tw/+ every other social + echo/dot/cortana audio info. (I am being a little off topic, as this is not the complaint with Telegram, but importantly telegram has a certain demographic that is valuable to data-mine sentiment. They will be able to score their gambits for "distraction value" for example. So they know drag-queens get people up in arms and distracted, using the data from barrels-of-fish that are social medias.
