Maybe to push people to share it quickly. People deserve to make money but clearly they are trying to maximize views until the 27th.

If it was just free forever, a lot of Anons and normies might not rush to watch it.

The reason this tells me this isn't just a "grift" as many normies will call it is because they are purposefully making it free when they could be making the most money in the first 10 days after launch.

But they aren't. They're letting people watch it for free during the time they'd be profitting most.
