Durham seemed to have the FBI on trial on the witness stand. Danchenko got off on reasonable doubt, he wasn't found innocent the jury couldn't rule that he was lying beyond reasonable doubt.
He didn't have a phone record of an anonymous call he claimed to recieve. Okay? I've got 7 apps on my phone that I could technically recieve a voice call through.
Yeah I wanted him to be found guilty, and on a jury on that charge I'd have said there's no proof of guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. You need more evidence today than just the phone companies records.
Typically the big shots get taken because someone lower level got jammed up and in order to save themselves from going away for life they roll over on the higher ups.
That most likely would not work. Prosecution would need to show that the underlings were given deals in exchange for testimony. But I am not the expert. Giuliani is an expert on RICO though.
That’s not how those prosecutions work - you leverage the convictions of the low level guys to turn on the big shots. The low level dudes don’t “get off nice.”
It's like prosecuting a drug ring. All the low level dudes get off nice, and the big shots get taken

^This^ You dont get a kingpin without starting with the junkies....
RIIIIIICO.
Could you imagine trying to argue a RICO case against a mob boss where all his underlings in the organization weren't found guilty of anything?
