If you are doing something that is a big enough threat bad guys might try to take you out, then yeah you need to take steps to be as invisible as possible online. Burner phones paid with cash, faraday pouches for while traveling etc.

There is tons of good info on Telegram, and some bad info too. Gettr is ass, Parler is ass, Gab is good but limited reach. Truth social may be nice if they hadnt taken forever to get to all users instead of spending so long with just iphones ramping up. It seems telegram is one of the big info platforms right now.

So yeah, if you are doing operations or secret stuff, dont have telegram or any tracking apps with you running around on your phone, but for everyone else - is the CCP going to come around and assassinate 100 million people because 'they know where you are?'.
