The insiders added that the organizers of the provocation hope that if successfully implemented, the “nuclear incident” will prompt an extremely negative reaction from the international community. As a result, Moscow will lose the support of many of its key partners, while the West will again try to raise the issue of depriving Russia of the status of a permanent member of the UN Security Council and ramp up its anti-Russian rhetoric, according to the sources.

This is a McAntiquated opinion of our military capabilities IMHO. Too Buck Turgidson for me. Obama defunded our military so badly they didn't have bullets when Trump got into office in 2016. Biden leaves billions in modern weapons behind for his insurgent friends.
Even if we could still 'whoop their ass' we don't and we won't. We're trying to lose.
Unfortunately and unhappily stated, but still.
There was one thing the Colonel said. The world does not need nuclear weapons. Why? Because those that were dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima didn’t have precision accuracy. You had to drop a nuclear bomb to take out a huge area to make sure you got your target. Today, the missiles are guided with precision accuracy. If you see the frontline videos, even the geran. drones are so accurate they can fly up to 1000klms before hitting their target. They are launched either 1 or up to 6 at a time. No aircraft is needed.
