I believe the purpose of the analogy is not to compare Trump to Christ, but to prepare Anons for the arrest of Trump, like Christ was preparing his followers for his own arrest.
I feel like it did and didnt. Maybe dropped it with the older folks but “all press is good press” was definitely at play as well. When you get people burning your records you can smile and know that you are about to make a ton of money.

which dropped the Beatles popularity.
