A large "potentially hazardous asteroid" is expected to swing fewer than six lunar distances from Earth at the beginning of next month.
The asteroid, known as 2022 RM4, is expected to pass by Earth on Nov. 1 – about 1.5 million miles away at its closest point.
According to NASA's Center for Near Earth Object Studies, the asteroid has an estimated diameter of between 330 and 740 meters, or up to over 2,400 feet. https://www.foxnews.com/science/monster-asteroid-speed-earth-orbit-next-week
I miss the days when NASA made it clear when something was a "visualization" and not actual "video footage".
All the "New Black Hole Discovered" imagery is computer generated as far as I can tell. The asteroid impact explosion shown here looks to be a simulation also. I'd like to know like what's what?
The larger narrative impact is that "NASA is protecting you".
Next week they'll show you actual video of the invisible man.
Just like we all know what "covid" looks like, but it's never been isolated or imaged yet. We're idiots if we listen to them.
What I find amazing is that there is never another solar system or planet or what-have-you in front of the very thing NASA is trying to look at a zillion miles away. I can't take a photo here on Earth without something being in the way of what I want to photograph.
