First you tested the waters with the mask. The sheep bowed. You initiated, with your media and celebrity machine, the targeted ridicule and subsequent barring of the ones who stood their ground. Ridicule? Fine. But you just made us stronger and we learned how to acquire what we needed to survive without using your establishments.
With all your might you tried to push us into obedience. You convinced the sheep to drink the poison but became infuriated when we stood our ground. You canceled our voices online. You told us no jab, no job. You killed our parents and grandparents in nursing homes while holding us back at the door because we refused to obey.
You kept up the killing, the mockery, watched us lose our family businesses, our earnings, our means to support our kids. You did this over the course of many many months.
You were given time to tell the truth. You were given opportunity after opportunity with your machine to admit to your lies. You still pushed them.
And now, when the truth is coming out - because the truth WILL out - you are telling us we need to forgive.
