The problem lies with expecting one man to do things for us. The issue is when said man constantly drops bread crumbs and hangs carrots in front of us, to give us some hope. I do think it's honest messaging, but some days I also think there's a little bit of delusion involved. I hope that's just my inner doomer talking. He always gets punched down, but he keeps popping his head back up from time to time.
