I wish people would stop cheering on these celebrities regardless of what they say, or whose side they are on. They are all bathing in one form of worship or another, they cannot give it up. If they were really base, they would leave their celebrity platform and just join the rest of us, use their wealth for good, and spend time in a retreat to get their souls back. I don't see him using his platform for anything real, except attention. I enjoy creative people's work, I enjoy art, a good story, a wonderful song, a well made film, as much as the next person, but why do we inflate the person outside of their work? Why isn't the local baker who makes bread worthy of a King surrounded by fans, photographed, while the world waits for his latest tweet? The same for the farmer who brought back his land from scrub and brush and now plows it organically and grows food? Idol worship is Idol worship, no matter if you agree with them socially or not! It's all smoke and mirrors. The celebrities are in the spotlight, while we the spectators stare slack jawed, waiting to learn more about them and how they think and what they say. Humility is a critical and continuous emphasis of Godliness in the Bible, and there is little wiggle room around this subject.Many people have been imprisoned and medicated because of their behavior, why should I care about Kanye West over others? So let him use the money he has left, which is about 500x more than I have, to become an advocate against psychiatric abuse? There are people who have had their rights taken away, and are under the control of state appointed guardianship, let him go help some of them, go to court and become a private guardian, it is not that hard, with all the money he has. The men who are out there doing pavement work in 90 degree weather are the real stars and celebrities. I am not saying he should be silenced, but I am saying "so what? tell me something I don't know already." Just because words come from a famous person's mouth should not make the words anymore potent.
