It's hard to find any new, manual transmission cars! My wife wanted to get one (we buy the leased cars from either dealers or the national used car sales places), but the one that was manual was sold before we had a chance to check it out.
That is so true. I'm gonna have to part with my beloved 2009 manual shift Porsche cayenne. It's just getting old and the dashboard lights up with phantom problems that don't exist. But I'd love to have my next one a manual too. The anti-theft aspect is so funny! And valets often can't drive it. And while my boys were teens they couldn't take it w/o permission because they couldn't drive it!
Get an ODI scanner, see the codes and clear them. Fairly cheap and easy.
I have one of those and you're right, at first that was such a nifty gadget. But just a couple months ago I had it out in a suburb with someone we call the Porsche Whisperer, because he can fix things the dealership can't. Even he was stumped why the "please refuel" light would turn on with half a tank of gas. Or why the tires say they need air when they don't.
TPMS batteries?
Just a light for fuel or light and gauge? Gummed up sensor in tank?
